Interpol

Went to see Interpol for free last night with Alana. Was very drunk. Don't remember much of it at all. Woke up with a bunch of random pictures, including one of me spinning a wheel of fortune... I'd love to know where on earth I found that.

I think I found that wheel in the back of a pub. Still not entierly sure about that one.

Swansea is track 10 from the Milk-Eyed Mender. I only list song names as I use harddisk based music solutions (iPod/iTunes) - I rarely listen to albums, rather individual songs.

Joanna has had three releases:

Walnut Whales (2002, self-released)
1 Erin
2 Cassiopeia
3 Peach, Plum, Pear
4 Clam, Crab, Cockle, Cowri
5 Flying a Kite
6 The Fray
7 En Gallop!
8 The Book of Right-On

Yarn and Glue (2003, self-released)
1 The Sprout and the Bean
2 This Side of the Blue
3 Yarn and Glue
4 What We Have Known
5 Bridges and Baloons

The Milk-Eyed Mender (2004, Drag City)
1 Bridges And Balloons
2 Sprout And The Bean
3 The Book Of Right-On
4 Sadie
5 Inflammatory Writ
6 This Side Of The Blue
7 "En Gallop"
8 Cassiopeia
9 Peach, Plum, Pear
10 Swansea
11 Three Little Babes
12 Clam, Crab, Cockle, Cowrie

I have been informed that the spinning wheel was at the back of the Townie in Newtown.

I wasn't too bothered about missing the band, though this keys to the universe has upset me a bit.
Right! I'm going to stop drinking.

interpol? they're ok. 'slow hands' is a pretty good song...

joanna newsom, on the other hand, is awesome. when is she coming here?

i have all her recordings, btw. even though some of the songs from the eps appeared on the album, they're different recordings. the eps are just harp and voice - very raw and definitely worth hearing. she recorded them herself.

I'm not sure when Joanna Newson is comming, but I heard she was being supported by smog. I'm going to have to save my pennies for that one.

I'd love to hear those EPs Shannon!
